Pura Vida started in the summer of 2010 by two southern California friends Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, taking a college graduation trip down to Costa Rica. One day they came across two artisans named Jorge and Joaquin who created colourful string bracelets capturing the simple beauty of costa Rica.
