Pura Vida

Pura Vida

Pura Vida started in the Summer of 2010 by two Southern California friends Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, taking a college graduation trip down to Costa Rica. One day of the trip they came across two artisans name Jorge and Joaquin who created colourful string bracelets capturing the simple beauty of Costa Rica. Sadly the two artisans were struggling to survive on their wages. Griffin and Paul wished to help them so ask for 400 bracelets to take home and sell at a local boutique, these sold out within a few days. Pura Vida translates in Spanish to "pure life", "pura vida" is more than just a saying but a lifestyle of sorts. Pura Vida has grown into a worldwide movement with millions of bracelets sold each year.
