Top 3 Reasons We Love This
1. A brilliant compact everyday dry bag — 30 litres is ideal for
swimming kit, a towel, summer wetsuit and your essentials without
carrying around a huge bag
2. Keep everything dry before your session, then reverse the job
afterwards and chuck your wet swimming kit or wetsuit straight
inside to keep the mess contained
3. The removable straps make it really versatile — carry it over
your shoulder or use them as simple backpack straps when you need
your hands free, with a dedicated Session Backpack available if you
want proper padded straps
Product Description
The C-Skins Session 30L Dry Bag is the compact option for anyone
who wants a proper waterproof watersports bag without
carrying loads of unnecessary bulk. At 30 litres it's a
particularly good size for swimming, summer surfing,
paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and everyday trips to the
beach.
There's enough space for a towel, changing gear, swimming kit and your smaller essentials, or a lighter wetsuit setup when you're surfing through the warmer months. If you tend to travel relatively light, 30 litres is a really useful size.
The waterproof construction and welded seams work both ways. Before getting in the water, use the Session to protect clothes, towels and other kit from rain, spray and wet ground. Afterwards, throw your wet swimming gear or wetsuit straight inside and the waterproof construction helps contain the water and mess on the journey home.
The easy-access roll-top gives you a large opening, making it simple to get wet or bulky gear inside. Once you're loaded up, roll the top down and secure it ready to go.
An elasticated external stash pocket gives you somewhere convenient for smaller essentials you want to keep within easy reach rather than disappearing into the bottom of the main compartment.
Removable webbing straps give you several different carry options. Use them over one shoulder, configure them as simple backpack straps when you need your hands free, or remove them completely. A top grab handle makes it easy to quickly pick the bag up and move it around.
C-Skins also make a dedicated Session Dry Bag Backpack with proper padded, adjustable shoulder straps. This standard Session can absolutely be worn on your back, but we'd consider the webbing straps better for occasional or shorter-distance backpack carry. If you're regularly walking any real distance with your kit, the dedicated Backpack is the more comfortable option.

Why Choose The 30L?
The 30L makes most sense if you want a compact bag for one
person's everyday watersports kit rather than somewhere to
put absolutely everything.
For open-water swimming, it's a really nice size. There's room for a towel, clothes, swimming kit and your smaller essentials without ending up with a massive half-empty bag.
It's also great for summer surfing when your neoprene is considerably less bulky. A thinner wetsuit or wetsuit top, towel and accessories should leave you with a really manageable setup for getting down to the beach.
If you're trying to carry a thick winter wetsuit, boots, gloves, hood, big towel and changing clothes all together, we'd definitely look at the larger 40L or 60L Session bags. The 30L is about keeping things compact and simple.
Which Session Size?
For a lightweight setup, the 30L is the one we'd choose. It's
particularly good for swimmers and anyone who doesn't want to carry
more bag than they actually need.
30L: Swimming, lighter summer wetsuits, SUP,
kayaking and compact everyday setups.
40L: A bit more breathing room for a wetsuit,
towel and general watersports kit.
60L: Full winter surf setups, bulky neoprene and
anyone who wants to chuck everything into one big bag.
If you're unsure and you're mainly buying it for surfing, remember that a soaking wet wetsuit always seems to take up considerably more room than it did when you packed it at home.
Dry Kit In, Wet Kit Home
This is the simple idea that makes a proper dry bag so useful.
Arrive with your clothes, towel and other essentials protected inside the Session. Go surfing, swimming or paddling, get changed and then use the same bag for all the wet stuff.
Rather than carrying a separate wet-kit bag or letting everything leak into the car, you've got one tough waterproof place for the lot.
Expert Advice
We really like the 30L for open-water swimming and lighter
watersports setups. It's big enough to carry the stuff you
actually need but compact enough that we'd happily take it every
time we head to the water.
For swimming, it's pretty much spot on — towel, clothes, swim kit and your smaller essentials all in one waterproof bag. It's also ideal for SUP, kayaking and sailing where you might just want somewhere to keep a change of clothes and a few bits protected from the water.
For surfers, we'd think about the time of year. Through summer, 30 litres can be plenty. Once you're into a thick winter wetsuit with boots, gloves and hood, we'd go bigger.
The webbing straps are useful when you need both hands free, but remember this isn't the dedicated Session Backpack. If you're planning long walks to the beach or want to regularly carry the bag fully loaded on your back, we'd choose the Backpack version with its proper padded shoulder straps.
Q & A
Q: How big is the C-Skins Session 30L?
A: It has a 30-litre capacity and measures approximately 61cm high
when fully unrolled, 44cm when rolled closed and 29.5cm in
diameter.
Q: What is the 30L size best for?
A: We'd particularly recommend it for open-water swimming, summer
surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and anyone who wants a
compact everyday dry bag.
Q: Can I fit a wetsuit inside?
A: Yes, particularly a lighter summer wetsuit. If you're carrying a
thick winter wetsuit plus boots, gloves, hood and towel, we'd
recommend one of the larger Session sizes.
Q: Is it good for open-water swimming?
A: Brilliant. We think that's one of the best uses for the 30L —
enough room for a towel, clothes and swimming essentials without
carrying an unnecessarily large bag.
Q: Is the Session Dry Bag waterproof?
A: Yes. C-Skins describe it as waterproof and completely
submersible when correctly closed, with welded waterproof
seams.
Q: Can I put wet kit straight inside?
A: Absolutely. Use it to protect your dry gear before getting in
the water, then use the same waterproof construction to contain
your wet gear afterwards.
Q: Is this the Session Backpack?
A: No. This is the standard Session Dry Bag with removable webbing
straps. C-Skins also make a dedicated Session Backpack with proper
padded and adjustable shoulder straps.
Q: Can I still wear this version as a
backpack?
A: Yes. The webbing straps can be configured for basic
backpack-style carry. They're fine for shorter distances, but the
dedicated Backpack is more comfortable if you'll regularly be
carrying your kit on your back.
Q: Can the straps be removed?
A: Yes. The webbing straps are completely removable.
Q: Should I choose the 30L or 40L?
A: Choose the 30L if you want something compact for swimming or
lighter watersports kit. The 40L gives you more room for a wetsuit,
larger towel and additional changing gear.
Q: Does it have any external storage?
A: Yes. There's an elasticated stash pocket for smaller items you
want to keep easy to reach.
Q: Is it good for SUP and kayaking?
A: Yes. It's a really useful size for keeping spare clothing,
towels and personal kit protected while you're on or around the
water.
Q: Is it easy to clean?
A: Yes. The tough outer material is designed to be wipe clean,
making it ideal for sandy beaches, muddy riverbanks and wet
changing areas.
