Product Description
The Vision Spark 7'6" Soft Beginner Surfboard is a fantastic choice
for anyone learning to surf. At 7'6" long with a generous 22 1/2"
width and 3" thickness, it provides plenty of stability and
flotation, helping beginners paddle easily, catch more waves and
get to their feet with confidence.
The Spark builds on Vision's popular Ignite softboard range with improved materials and construction. A higher-density 4mm IXPE soft deck gives the board a reassuring feel underfoot, while the added traction pad provides extra grip around the back foot once you start progressing and turning the board.
Inside is a 100% waterproof XPS foam core reinforced with wooden stringers to increase longitudinal strength and stiffness. The slick 0.4mm HDPE bottom helps the board glide through the water, while the soft IXPE rails provide additional protection against the inevitable knocks and bumps that come with learning to surf.
Vision Soft Safety Fins complete the package, making the Spark particularly well suited to children, families and beginner surfers. It's a proper progression board rather than just something to mess around on at the beach — easy enough to learn on, but with enough performance to keep being fun as your surfing improves.

Expert Advice
If you're buying your first surfboard, going slightly bigger
generally means catching more waves — and catching waves is how you
improve. At 7'6", the Spark has a really nice combination of
stability, flotation and manoeuvrability. It's particularly good
for adults learning to surf, bigger kids who want a board they can
progress on, or families looking for one softboard that everyone
can have a go on.
Compared with a shorter softboard, the extra length makes paddling easier and helps the board pick up smaller, weaker waves. That means less time struggling and more time actually surfing. The soft construction and safety fins are also reassuring when you're learning around other people or buying a board for the kids.
Q & A
Q: Is the Vision Spark 7'6" suitable for complete
beginners?
A: Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. The generous
length, width and thickness provide plenty of stability and
flotation, making it easier to paddle, catch waves and stand
up.
Q: Why choose a 7'6" board rather than a shorter
softboard?
A: A longer board generally paddles more efficiently, catches waves
earlier and feels more stable. For a beginner, that normally means
catching considerably more waves and progressing faster.
Q: Is it suitable for children?
A: Yes. The soft deck, forgiving construction and soft safety fins
make it a great family board. Smaller children may find a shorter
board easier to carry, but the 7'6" is much easier to actually
catch waves on.
Q: Is it just for beginners?
A: No. Although designed around beginner-friendly stability, it's
still great fun once you've progressed. It's ideal for smaller
summer waves when you simply want something easy to paddle and
catch loads of waves on.
Q: Is the core waterproof?
A: Yes — the board uses a 100% waterproof XPS core, which is a big
advantage for a board that's likely to pick up the occasional
knock.
Q: Does it come with soft fins?
A: Yes — Vision Soft Safety Fins are designed to be more forgiving
than conventional hard surfboard fins, making them particularly
well suited to beginners and children.
Who Is The 7'6" Vision Spark Best For?
As a general guide, we'd recommend the 7'6" Spark for beginner
surfers from around 5'2" to 6'2" and approximately
50–85kg. It offers a great balance of stability, flotation
and manoeuvrability for adults, teenagers and bigger kids learning
to surf.
If you're towards the lighter end of that range, the 7'6" will feel particularly stable and make catching waves really easy. If you're around 75–85kg it still makes a great beginner board, although heavier surfers or anyone who wants the absolute easiest possible learning experience may be better going up to a larger 8'0" softboard.
Remember that weight is generally more important than height when choosing a beginner surfboard. The more flotation you have, the easier it is to paddle, catch waves and get to your feet — and when you're learning, catching more waves normally means progressing much faster.
Q: Who would you recommend the 7'6" Spark
for?
A: Beginners wanting to make learning as easy and enjoyable as
possible, families looking for a versatile softboard, and
progressing surfers wanting an easy wave-catching board for smaller
summer surf.
