The JS Black Baron HyFi 3 Surfboard in 6’0” marks the return of one of the most loved boards in the JS lineup. Originally released as the brand’s first-ever twin fin during Parko’s post-World Tour era, the Black Baron was all about rediscovering pure speed and enjoyment — and after more requests than any other model to bring it back, it’s finally here again.

This updated version keeps everything that made the original so addictive, while refining the design for even more control and usability. A subtle flyer allows the board to carry width through the middle for speed and stability, while pulling into a tighter swallow tail that delivers flow and control when you’re pushing hard. A slightly fuller nose outline and added foam under the chest increase glide and paddle power, making weak beach breaks far more fun.

The fin placement has been moved further back to balance classic twin-fin speed with added drive and control. Combined with the low to flat rocker, flat deck and low, slight down rail, the board generates instant speed and holds it with ease. The reverse vee running through the tail promotes smooth rail-to-rail transitions, keeping the board lively and responsive even at high speed.

Built using HyFi 3 construction, the Black Baron feels light, durable and energetic underfoot. It excels in everyday weak surf, but still shines at fun point breaks and reefs.
