No feed?
Sometimes as with all technology our webcam does fall over. This can be for a variety of reasons and we do our best to keep issues to a minimum. The camera should work across all modern browsers and most mobile devices, if you do notice a problem this is likely down to a technical fault at our end. The best bet is to drop a comment on our Facebook wall and we will get on it as soon as possible. The camera is located on top of the chimney pot on a house adjacent to the beach and therefore access is difficult and sometimes dangerous in bad weather, however we will do our best to get it back up and running as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding and enjoy the camera.
Not Seeing any Surf?
Firstly this is East Wittering, it’s often flat. However, throughout the winter months when we have some big storms the camera inevitably gets caked in salt, making it pretty difficult to see anything. We try to clean the camera as much as possible but if you notice it is particularly dirty please do write on our Facebook wall and we will get to it ASAP. We have been providing a surf camera at East Wittering beach for over 10 years completely free of charge and with no advertising or membership requirement so if we can't clean it straight away please be understanding, its a very slippery roof!
