The Islander Calypso Sport is a great Sit on Top Kayak. Having won the best sit on top from Canoe and Kayak Magazine in 2012. Its design means it is super stable and tracks great in a straight time. Obviously, it has loads of extra storage space thanks to the large forward hatch something that no other kayak in this class has. Most people when considering this kayak will also look at the Perception Scooter which is perhaps a little faster but not as stable and does not have the same level of storage.

The Islander Calypso sport is the family sit-on-top. Beach, coast or lake - this boat loves it all. Supplied fully outfitted and with plenty of storage, the keeled hull design provides stability and speed ready for adventures. The kayak is made from super linear high-density polyethene so durable and stable with its multi-chine hull with full keel, so excellent tracking and with the wave-piercing high bow design great for surf and water-shedding deck helps to keeps you dry.
