The Wave Sport Scooter XT is the tandem version of the hugely popular Scooter X, offering the same reliable performance and stability in a larger design built for two paddlers.
Classed as a 2.5 person kayak, the Scooter XT comfortably accommodates two adults while also providing a smaller centre seat for a child. This makes it a great option for families looking to get out on the water together. It can also be paddled solo when needed, making it a flexible choice for different paddling situations.
The hull design offers a great balance between stability and paddling efficiency, making the Scooter XT well suited to coastal touring, inland rivers, lakes and relaxed fitness paddling. Compared with some wider sit-on-top designs, the Scooter XT delivers slightly improved performance while still maintaining excellent stability.
Like many sit-on-top kayaks, the Scooter XT can also be great fun in small surf and waves. Paddlers looking to spend more time surfing may want to consider optional leg straps which provide additional control over the kayak when riding waves.
Built in the UK using durable Superlinear polyethylene, the Scooter XT is designed to withstand years of use while also offering a smaller transport footprint compared to many imported kayaks.
For comfort on longer paddles, we strongly recommend using the kayak with backrests, which provide much better support and make the overall paddling experience far more enjoyable.
